Scene 6: Returning Home

PLAY / STOP

With the oni defeated and the treasure reclaimed, Momotarō and his loyal companions set sail for home. The boat was now filled with gold, silks, and other precious goods that the ogres had stolen from the people. As they approached the village, word spread quickly—Momotarō had returned victorious! The old couple rushed to the shore, tears of joy in their eyes. “You’re safe!” the old woman cried, embracing him tightly. “And you’ve done it—you brought peace back to the land,” said the old man proudly. The animal friends were celebrated too, each receiving thanks and treats from the villagers. From that day on, Momotarō, the old couple, and his faithful animal friends lived together in harmony. Their days were filled with laughter, gratitude, and peace. And so, the tale of the Peach Boy came to a joyful close—a story of kindness, bravery, and friendship that would be told for generations.
