明日あしたの午後ごごは、何なにをしますか。

Let’s take a look at some time words, such as “afternoon.” Japanese often puts time words directly into the sentence—no extra prepositions or articles. In English we say “in the afternoon,” but Japanese simply says 午後ごご. To add “tomorrow,” use 明日あした.

Adding は after the time phrase highlights it as the topic: 明日あしたの午後ごごは “As for tomorrow afternoon…”. The pattern is:
